hey did some cheking and the guy rosean is fighting michaud beat in 38 seconds. is that the best they could get for rosean
Where exactly did you look? Been lookin for the last 20 minutes at every mma stat sites I know and couldnt find a thing! Michaud is a beast, but I’ve watched tape on Johnson and I dont see Michaud beating him in 38 secs, reallistically speaking. Hell I couldnt even find a single record of those two on the same card let alone against eachother..hmm..
I think “Radio” has been misinformed. Hopefully this misinformation wasn’t intentional. I would love to see Rosaaen and Michaud fight. I think it would be a war but I would still give the advantage to Rosaaen based on quality of wins, opponents and venues fought in.
hey guys Radio is right and it happened on april 25th at Fury Fights in Brookings and no the guy from fury fights has not sent in the results for the april fight or the last fight in october just as the results have not been sent to any of the MMA sites for the last Emminent Domain fight. I dont know the process for sending in results but it is important for this to be done. Also johnsons record states 3-1 sherdog states 2-1 underground states 2-2 and 2 wins vs same guy 2 months apart and the guys record was 1-4. Not the greatest competition and thats without his loss to BullDawg his first pro fight. Also Rosean vs Michaud is a good bet not to happen due to Michaud being 170 and not 185 and odds are Rosean wont go down just as he isnt fighting Chad Klingensmith who would be a great fight for him in order to further his career seeing how Chad is a known opponent. Not saying he should go down either if 185 is his established weight, hes got nothing to prove. Also Brown is fighting a guy who lost 3 of his last 4 fights and Coyle is fighting a guy who lost 6 of his last 8 and the 2 he won were in sturgis during the summer on the same day. Quality wins or guarenteed wins?
Quality fighters. Have shown they have the talent to make the bigger shows, despite their record. Almost all of Romero’s fights were in ROF. I couldn’t even begin to count how many people go through ROF and have ended up in the UFC/WEC.
Tried hard to find the Fury Fight results anywhere, but none posted, even on their own site, ah well. Seen it said David Michaud vs Matt Delanoit, but no Johnson. I wasn’t there, so couldn’t tell ya’. I personally think the main event is a no brainer, based on what I’ve seen on Johnson, but who knows anything can happen. Rosaaen also has another fight in a month in ND, I wouldn’t risk getting injured and being out a handful of money and as of right now the ND show up there is more noticeable than EDP. In my opinion, Rosaaen couldn’t make 170, not anytime in the near future anyway.
Give it time. EDP is being held at a higher regard right now compared to other shows because of how they came in and took over, now they have to prove themselves. They may hit and miss a few shows, but not in a constant order. Heard of a few names on the January card, it gives you itches about who they’re trying to bring in to compete. If you’re there for THE FIGHTERS, they’ll be there for you.
Hope all is well with everyone, thanks for checking out the site. I really appreciate that!
Well I guess Radio was right about Johnson. Got taken down and gave up his back same way with Michaud only Michaud finished him with strikes quickly and yes he even wore his signature Gi pants. Ponton you stated REosean has a big fight coming up in ND and he shouldnt risk getting injured and being out a handful of money, well sounds like your in agreement that he was given a lower caliber opponent for an easy win to look good in front of the home crowd.
I wouldn’t necessarily say he was given a lower caliber fighter to look good in front of the home crowd, as he’s from Iowa and they could have brought somebody in locally to do thay instead of pay for Johnson to come up here. The fight went as expected from my point of view, so I would say that Rosaaen is better, obviously, but I wouldn’t say they intentionally brought someone all that way just so Rosaaen could look good.
Ben is doing his best to bring in fighters from all over and bigger camps. If Michaud beat Johnson at Fury Fights and it wasn’t posted then that is not good by them because all Pro fighters deserve to have their wins recognized. Chad Klingensmith had not one but two fighters back out on him but from what I hear he is still wanting to come here and fight. Klingensmith fights at 170 and I would love to see him throwdown with the Bulldawg!!! I didn’t know Dave moved to 170 even though I should have because I believe he fought at 170 at Vindication. Also about EDP posting results……check out Sherdog they are on there for the first event at least. A list of “possible” names to be fighting in January include but not limited to Clint Godfrey, Johnny Knutson, Coy Sasse, and former UFC vets Alvin Robinson and Luke Caudillo. Of course most of those guys have fights between now and then so anything can happen. Also Caudillo is on like a 5 fight losing streak so maybe he won’t make it but I would like to see him fight one of our local boys as kind of a measuring stick. Anywho I hope we can get Michaud and Klingensmith to fight…..now that would be a Main Event worth the price of admission!!!
Vindication’s Pro fights are on Sherdog. http://www.sherdog.com/events/Eminent-Domain-Productions-Vindication-11583
I don’t mean to sound biased… well okay, maybe I do.. This was Ben’s 3rd show overall. In New Mexico he had Alberto Crane and up and comer Jason Tapia fight on that card, and if I remember correctly they had an appearance by someone. So far here in Rapid in 2 shows they’ve had Mike Whitehead, Jeremy Horn, and Duane Ludwig appear on his shows. Not to mention he has had Vets from bigger named promotions. Tried for Alvin Robinson and Rick Roufus but of course complications happen. I mean really, who besides The Cage Inc. has brought that kind of talent to the state? It costs a boat load of money and he’s willing to spend it, has anyone else?
Granted Ringwars has brought Brad Imes(who has quit competing and now works as a firefighter), Spencer Fisher, and Pat Miletich to shows, but how long did it take for that? This was Ben’s THIRD show!!!
I thought this last show was beautifully ran, and it turned out alright. Crowd was smaller than the first show, but if they can solidify January’s card how they want it and promote the hell out of it, it’ll be the BEST card in South Dakota history to date, hands down!
And yes, Michaud is being highly toted around here it seems, rightfully so, I like Michaud, he’s a badass, but get him against Klingensmith. Get him someone worth mentioning.
I just found out that the Rez Rumbler crew is not fighting again more than likely until after wrestling season which they do every year but it slipped my mind. So it appears as though we will have to wait for them to make their anticipated returns and that includes Travis Peak whom I would love to see fight Aaron Romero and/or Chad Klingensmith. Ben is doing a great job and putting a lot of time and energy into his promotion and I feel as though all of us as fans of the sport and fans of the fighters need to help him and the fighters out by spreading the word and getting more people to attend the shows. We have some AWESOME local (west river) talent here that needs to get recognized. It is time to finally put SD MMA on the map!!!
Hey, lookin to come back March/April. Was really hoping for March but it will be hard since the show is only 2 weeks after my state tourney on March 5th I believe. Gotta coach those kids. I also live 50 miles from the closest place I know of to train unless the Rez guys meet me in Chadron which is still 40-50 miles. Sorta blows but this summer I will be training hard and rockin it somewhere!! Gotta love the summer teaching schedule…..or lack there of:) Peace out.
